PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATION / ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. For Discipline Code – 01/14/27/40/53-Trade Apprentice(Fitter) –Matric with Regular Full Time ITI (Fitter) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
  1. For Discipline Code – 02/15/28/41/54-Trade Apprentice (Electrician) –Matric with Regular Full Time ITI (Electrician) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
  1. For Discipline Code – 03/16/29/42/55- Trade Apprentice (Electronic Mechanic) –Matric with Regular Full Time ITI (Electronic Mechanic) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT. 
  1. For Discipline Code – 04/17/30/43/56- Trade Apprentice (Instrument Mechanic) –Matric with Regular Full Time ITI (Instrument Mechanic) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
  1. For Discipline Code - 05/18/31/44/57- Trade Apprentice (Machinist) –Matric with Regular Full Time ITI (Machinist) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
  1. For Discipline Code - 06/19/32/45/58 - Technician Apprentice(Mechanical)- 3 years Regular full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates & 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions. 
  1. For Discipline Code – 07/20/33/46/59- Technician Apprentice(Electrical) – 3 years Regular full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates & 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.

For Discipline Code- 08/21/34/47/60- Technician Apprentice(Instrumentation) – 3 yearsRegular full time Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering from recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates & 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.
  1. For Discipline Code- 09/22/35/48/61- Technician Apprentice(Civil) – 3 yearsRegular full time Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates & 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.
  1. For Discipline Code- 10/23/36/49/62-Technician Apprentice(Electrical & Electronics) – 3 yearsRegular full time Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates & 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.
  1. For Discipline Code-11/24/37/50/63-Technician Apprentice(Electronics) – 3 yearsRegular full time Diploma in Electronics Engineering from recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates & 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.
  1. For Discipline Code – 66/67/68/69/70 - Trade Apprentice-Accountant:Regular Full Time Graduate in any discipline from Recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions.
  1. For Discipline Code – 12/25/38/51/64 - Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices): Class XII or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Board/Institute.
  1. For Discipline Code – 13/26/39/52/65 - Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skilled Certificate Holders): Class XII or its equivalent with Skill Certificate holder in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS& OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Board/Institute.
  1. For all discipline codes:The prescribed qualification for Class XII/Graduate/Diploma holders should be from a recognized Board/University/Institute as a regular full time course in the relevant trade / discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PwBD category candidates for the seats reserved for them) in aggregate.
  1. Wherever CGPA/OGPA or Letter Grade is awarded in the Class XII/ITI/Degree/Diploma examinations, its equivalent aggregate percentage of marks must be indicated in the On-line Application as per the norms adopted by Board/University/Institute. Candidates will have to furnish certificate from the concerned University/Institute regarding the equivalent aggregate percentage of marks with reference to their CGPA/OGPA or Letter Grade at the time of document verification failing which their candidature will not be considered.
  1. For ITI qualification in the relevant trade, eligibility shall be pass marks. Only regular full time ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT shall be considered.
  1. Under Discipline Code 12/25/38/51/64, “Fresher Apprentices” will be considered. “Fresher Apprentices” means a non-graduate apprentice, who has not undergone any institutional training or skill training, before taking up on-the-job training or practical training under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
  1. Under Discipline Code 13/26/39/52/65, “Skill Certificate Holders” will be considered. Candidates applying against these Codes with Skill Certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ should possess skill certificate for training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Govt. in this regard.
  1. Candidates possessing Diploma in Engineering in relevant trade/discipline under recognized lateral entry scheme (Class–XII (Sc.)/ITI admitted in 2ndyear of Diploma course) shall also be considered eligible subject to meeting prescribed percentage of marks on the basis of aggregate of all semesters in the diploma course.
  1. Candidates with qualification acquired through Distance Learning/Part Time/Correspondence Mode shall NOT be considered.
  1. Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE/B Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or any such equivalent qualification or pursuing higher qualification shall NOT be considered. Suppression of information regarding possession or pursuing higher qualification shall render a candidate ineligible for consideration at any stage of selection/termination or any time during engagement.
  1. Candidates applying for more than one Trade/Discipline will not be considered and their applications will be summarily rejected.
  1. In case the date of declaration of result is not mentioned in the Mark Sheet, the candidate shall be required to submit a certificate mentioning the date of publication of result from the Principal of the School/Polytechnic/College/Institute from where the candidate pursued his/her Class XII/ITI/Graduation/Diploma course, at the time of Document Verification.
  1. Reservation for PwBD Candidates for the Discipline Code 66/67/68/69/70, 12/25/38/51/64 & 13/26/39/52/65: To be eligible against reservation for PwBD, the permanent disability should be a minimum of 40% as issued by the Competent Authority in the Disability Certificate. Categories of Disability with a minimum of 40% and above are given below -

VH - PV: Low Vision (LV) / Partially Blind (PB)

HH – PH: Partially Deaf

OH – PL: Musculosketeletal (OA – one arm affected / OL – One leg affected / OAL – One arm and one leg affected), Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victim, Cerebral Palsy

MD – A combination of the above         

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 - Section 2(r) defines “person with benchmark disability” as a person duly certified by the certifying authority with:

  • Not less than 40% of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms, and
  • A disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms.

The candidates are required to submit a Disability Certificate issued by competent authority as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017, failing which their candidature as PwBD candidates will not be considered. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities must be capable of performing the task assigned to them/take instructions using suitable aids and appliances.

PwBD candidates with less than 40% of permanent disability are NOT eligible.                                                                                                                                  

  1. The candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training in an Industry as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961/1973 as amended from time to time or job experience for a period of 1 year or more are NOT eligible.
  1. Candidates who have completed 3 YEARS after acquiring the prescribed educational qualification as on date of reckoning,e.,31.03.2020shall NOT BE ELIGIBLE for engagement.
  1. Candidates, who have undergone training and/or having job experience for a period of one year or more are not eligible for being engaged.
  1. in case the date of Declaration of result is not mentioned in the Mark Sheet, the candidate must submit a certificate mentioning the date of publication of result from the Principal of the College/Institute from where the candidate pursued his Graduation/Diploma in Engineering, along with his application form.
  1. Candidates registered with Local/State Employment Exchange(s)/Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria, are required to apply Online, failing which their candidature will not be considered.
  2. Age Limit:  
  1. Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31.03.2020 for General/EWS candidates. Relaxation of upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD candidates shall be extended as per Govt. guidelines.
  1. Mark sheet/Certificate issued by Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation (Class X) examination shall be the only acceptable document in support of age.
